Beyond retail, a fluid, sculptural canvas for luxury fashion.
The project
In the commercial district of Vesu, Surat, Calibre trades the rigid rectangular shopfloor for sweeping, continuous curves. Undulating partitions choreograph a seamless journey through the store, quietly concealing the structure so the clothes remain the focal point.
Central curved display units and circular seating islands form intimate, lounge-like pods to meander between; changing rooms, a sweeping reception and utilities tuck invisibly into the negative space behind the walls. Polished matte tile, textured plaster and brushed brass give a tactile, breathable luxury, lit to reveal every fabric without a hard shadow in sight.
